Peter David's She-Hulk #23 is second-lowest seller ever

The November sales figures are out and the news isn't good for She-Hulk fans. Peter David's second issue on the comic is the second-worst seller in the history of the book, with fewer than 25,000 copies sold in November, according to ICV2.com.

The only issue with lower sales was She-Hulk #14, which was also the only issue not to show She-Hulk or Jen Walters on the cover. (#14 instead featured mute, faceless supporting character "Awesome Andy" making preparations to commit suicide.)

Dan Slott on "Fantastic Four: World's Greatest Heroes"

Toonzone has an interview with Dan Slott concerning his recent experience writing the She-Hulk episode of "Fantastic Four: World's Greatest Heroes".

MAA/TZN: Your run on She-Hulk comes to its conclusion shortly. You managed to turn a C list character into one of the best comics on the racks and created almost an entire world of characters for her world. Do you feel you’ve done all you can with the character at this point or could you ever see yourself returning?

SLOTT: She-Hulk is one of my favorite Marvels. And, yeah, I'm gonna miss her. But right now? As a She-Hulk Fan, I'm really excited to see Peter David come on board and tell some great Shulkie stories!

Slott also talks at length about the production of the "Cured" episode he wrote, future projects and Squirrel Girl.

She-Hulk 'Mean Spirited'?

Comics blogger Kalinara, who writes at Pretty, Fizzy Paradise has suffered a waning interest in the She-Hulk comic over the last year. Kalinara writes:

I don't know, I suppose a part of it is that I don't think I ever really found myself caring much about She-Hulk's supporting cast. Not even Awesome Andy, though he was a pretty neat gimmick, made much of an impression on me. I liked the trials and I liked the punching of things, and She-Hulk/Jennifer's identity issues. And while I wasn't really invested in her relationship with Jameson that dinner with J.Jonah was incredibly funny.

I guess, and I'm not sure this will make sense to anyone else, the humor and situations started to feel awfully...mean spirited to me. I can't even put my finger on a specific incident, so it's not like I can really support the claim at all. It's just my irrational feeling.
