io9, the Gawker Media blog that covers all the geekdom not covered by it siblings Kotaku and Lifehacker, dissed our green gal today! I couldn't believe my eyes as I read the snarky conclusion to io9's write-up of Stan Lee winning an award:
Someone who's attending the convention - running April 18th through 20th at the Jacob K. Javits Center - please, please ask him what the hell he was thinking when he came up with She-Hulk. And, punsters out there, don't even think of answering "the green."
Thankfully, reader zenpoet responds:
Take everything that makes the Hulk cool, and make it hot. With breasts. How is that NOT a great idea?
The New York Comic Con is coming up in April. If you scroll way down on the guest page at the official site, past the "living legends" category, the "guests of honor" and the "special guests", you'll come to the "featured guests" group. And beneath the guy who did the English-language voice acting for Raditz in "Dragon Ball Z", you'll find Peter David.
So if you're in the tri-state area in mid-April, head on over to the Javits, find the nook back near the men's room where they're hiding him and ask Peter David "Dude, WTF?!?"
To be held April 18 - 20, 2008 at the Jacob Javits Center in New York City.
