She-Hulk #29

She-Hulk #29 ReleaseHold onto your hats, true believers, but it seems She-Hulk #29 actually has something interesting in it. I won't give away the spoiler, but despite containing a lot of the same flaws we've seen throughout Peter David's run, he manages to pull #29 out of the shit pile in the last page or two.

(Nobody's more astonished than me.)

Also make sure to pick up King Size Hulk #1, for some amazing Frank Cho illustration featuring She-Hulk, as well as an Art Adams short featuring the Red Hulk versus the Wendigo.

She-Hulk #29 CoverThe original artwork for Mike Deodato's juggy She-Hulk #29 cover is available on eBay. The implementation of the figure seems to be pretty faithful to Deodato's pencils, but some details have been changed substantially - one of which may account for She-Hulk's boobs looking so enormous:

• Unlike the pencils, the cover image shows no obvious nipples.
• The original pencils seem to show She-Hulk wearing a bikini on the beach, rather than her costume top and (purple) jeans. (Oddly, she is wearing gloves with her bikini in Deodato's original.)
• Her head looks smaller on the finished cover, which may be what makes She-Hulk's breasts seem so, um, generously rendered.
